Hey guys, wow I don't remember the last time I open my lappie afterall
for the past 2 weeks n days I was having my examination w/ a motive:
"I won't fail this time" but seems like I'm gonna fail some of the exams
even if I won't I'll still get a low marks . Especially Chemistry, Phy, Bio
lets juz say all of it!!!!! How could I be soo dumb??!! I mean I couldn't
ans. that qstn why wouldn't I choose the other one then? grrr! I have
that sort of bad habits since I was in pri 6. Anyway if I fail then let it be
, I got NEXT TIME to battle this kind of depression...rite now, that the
exam had JUST ended, I should relax!!
Tomorrow's the last day of school and oh it's the 15th day of fasting
today!!!
urr..suddenly I forgot about what I'm blogging for rite now...
Anyway, 13 treasure by MICHELLE HARRISON is really awesome!
I soo love the story!!! Its so fulled of mystery! And I really want the
2nd book , 13 secrets and also 13 curses!!
Okay, the story is like this (may contain accidental spoilers but juz the
unimportant one)
Tanya is a girl who grew up believing that there is a secret passageway
in her grandmother's house, the Elvesden Manor which lead to some
places in Tickey End. She and Fabian, the caretaker's son (whom also
lived in the manor w/ his father n grandfather) will always
spend their time searching for this secret passageway but they found
none of these passageways. Though they knew that there were a lots
of old servant's room on the second floor, they never have the courage
to go up there and were never allowed to(no one except Fabian's father,
Warwick can go up there n only Amos lived there).They also found a servant's
staircase which they thought was a passageway in the kitchen but it was blocked
by Tanya's grandmother.
Tanya is now 13 n she no longer believed in such things. She also rarely go
to her grandmother's. But because of her misunderstood behavior, her
mother send to stay w/ her for a week or so. There, she entered a library
she never entered when she was little. She discovered some IMPORTANT
information from a book and it was there she found a silver charm bracelet
w/ 13 charms. She also found a newspaper cutting of a teenage girl whom
went missing in the Hangman Woods 50 yrs ago. She is believed to fall
in one of the catacombs in the wood (the wood is known as there is many people
whom fell in the catacombs and commit suicide there) or to have been murdered
by a young man whom is said to have seen her last. The man is innocent as the
police had said but the town still accuse him of the murderer case n the disappearance
of Morwenna Bloom whom is said to be the best friend of Tanya's grandmother, Florence.
Tickey End is really famous for the disappearance of many people.
Tanya n Fabian are curious of the disappearance of Morwenna and some babies
and children of not more than 2 years old.When the two of them were lost in
the wood they are forbid to enter to find Tanya's runaway dog, Oberon, they met
a teenage girl of not older than 14 wearing a green dress and have silky hair
wandering in the forest. The girl told them she saw a dog running past her and
offer to help them find it. Soon, both of them followed her but when Warwick
suddenly appeared the girl suddenly vanished. Fabian believed that the girl
they saw is Morwenna Bloom but Tanya argue as Morwenna is suppose to look
like 50+ yrs old not 14 yrs old. Fabian stated that she must be a ghost whom have
to settled her business b4 resting in peace n Tanya agreed.
Fabian wanted to find out more n try to help her by going to the forbidden woods
and bring Tanya alone. Tanya agreed but she is scared of going in the woods
because it is the home of many fairies. Tanya have the 2nd sight which allowed
her to see what others can't see such as goblins, fairies or fey, elves etc. The fey
are no lovely as in fairytales, they always come to disturb Tanya in the middle
of the nite.She used to see them as friends but not anymore since she wrote about
them n tell about their existence to somebody else which is forbidden for a 2nd
sight human to do so. They cast a spell on her n make her float in her bedroom
and only to let her down after she make a promises not to it again but w/ lots
of crashes n bang that sometimes she break stuff n wake somebody up.
This is the reason why her mother sent her to stayed at her grand's, she is fed of
all excuses Tanya made n promise of behaving well next time ( she only tell
lies so she won't have to tell the truth about the fairies to someone or she'll
face a bigger trouble; her memory will be erased). Since the wood is the home of
fairies, she have to wear protection in order to avoid them or make herself
invisible to the fairies.
Okay.. I guess I wrote too much but really can't help myself! Its sooo awesome, the
story I mean!!! I wished there's a movie of it! The author held a writing comp.
and last time the winner got the Limited edition of the silver charm bracelet of
the 13 treasures!!!!! I wanted one too!!! I also wanted the other 2 series of the book.
